| Our client is in need of a Work Planning and Estimating Consultant. - Responsibilities:
Monitor key performance metrics and proactively recommending corrective and preventive actions. Prepare the workplan for weekly client reports. Generate monthly metrics including SPI, CPI and Earned Value, and know how to interpret the values. Run scenarios for new resources or scope changes to see the impact to the baseline. Maintain the tasks (dates, duration, effort, resources, dependencies) and milestones. Manage workplans in both Microsoft Project and CA Clarity, using the integration interface. Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of Microsoft Project workplanning including: monitoring key performance metrics and proactively recommending corrective and preventive actions, preparing the workplan for weekly reporting, generating monthly metrics, running scenarios for new resources or scope changes to see the impact to the baseline, maintaining the tasks (dates, duration, effort, resources, dependencies) and milestones.
Required Skills
Years Experience: 2-3 Years -- Microsoft Project Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel, Familiarity with CA Clarity, Understanding of the SDLC (Systems Development Lifecycle), Effective communication abilities, PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of Microsoft Project workplanning including: monitoring key performance metrics and proactively recommending corrective and preventive actions, preparing the workplan for weekly reporting, generating monthly metrics. Client is using a system with both CA-Clarity and MS Project. This person will be responsible for ensuring that when changes are made to the system that the interface between Clarity and MS Project still work and report as necessary. Workplanning expert to support several large initiatives for this project.This role will support the project managers with all aspects of workplanning. This role will have high visibility to the client's executives, senior executives and the client-s QA team, so strong communication and coordination skills are necessary.
