| The role of the FICO Project Lead is to provide and implement the solution design throughout the entire project lifecycle. This person must come from a background where they have overseen a team of subject matter experts, not solely performed production support. The ideal candidate will provide financial subject matter expertise and be accountable for the business requirements gathering and rationalization for projects. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring that the solution design meets those business requirements.
The successful candidate will support a rigorous methodology that will enable the SAP program to retain compliance with the Global SAP Template for FICO by the deployment and support teams while also supporting business initiatives being driven by client.
Primary Duties include:
- Responsible for the governance and maintenance of the global template.
- Leads direct reports and regional team members in configuration and testing of changes.
- Works closely with other Process Leads to ensure tight integration between business functions.
- Work closely with the technical development team to ensure accurate and timely code that matches the designs
- Support the governance model for enhancements to the SAP platform that supports the customer - focused approach but ensures compliance to the business goals and objectives
- Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the end-to-end project solution. This includes creation of the detailed project design, functional specifications, and test plans. Participation in projects from define through deployment is expected.
- Responsible for establishing detailed and realistic business requirements in the define phase of the project and identify gaps in the AP, AR, FA, GL, PS, INV, and Billing areas.
- Responsible for coordinating business review and obtaining sign off on business requirements prior to beginning the next project phase.
- Responsible for ensuring that functional specifications are developed in the design phase of the project, and meet the business requirements outlined.
Requirements:
- Experience in implementing at least 3 large-scale or complex IT projects, in a lead role.
- At least 6+ years of SAP FI-CO implementation experience is required.
- Ability to develop clear and detailed business requirements and design specifications that can be understood by other consultants, including global partners.
- Ability to translate business requirements into design options that are cost effective, efficient, re-usable that comply with defined architectural principles and standards and that enhance the business process.
- Strong experience in Finance, with a strong emphasis towards analytics and information management.
- Must possess a high degree of professional confidence and credibility, with the presence and communication skills to represent IT related concepts effectively with all levels of the business.
- Experience in an established technology consulting firm is recommended.
- Experience with the SAP Automotive Industry solution is desired
